VIDEO: How We Do It, Part 2 - Cut & Windrow

Continuing our mini-series of short videos we will be posting to YouTube in the coming weeks showing how we produce our essential oils...
When it’s time to harvest, we first cut and windrow the crop in the field. Following behind this, a harvester comes along and in one step chops the plant material into smaller pieces (this helps pack the plant material down evenly in the wagon which later helps the steam break it down for an "even cook") and then blows it into the wagon, which is immediately transported to one of our distillation facilities.
