In the heart of one of the most prolific growing regions in the world, the Pacific Northwest, SunWest Ingredients produces a dill oil unmatched for natural goodness and flavor consistency.

SunWest is a division of J.S.H. Farms, Inc. which has specialized in the production of essential oils for 30 years, including 25 years growing and processing dill. Dill weed thrives in SunWest's fields, yielding an oil of superior quality.

Along with flavor, fragrance, taste and smell, carvone is the standard by which dill oil is measured. As with any plant, slightly differing soil conditions, variations in the weather, time of harvest, and other factors affect the carvone produced from crop to crop. SunWest utilizes these natural variations to adjust carvone levels to meet your specifications, while maintaining the natural consistency of the oil and its all-natural composition.

From growing and harvesting the crop, to distillation, to testing and analysis, every aspect of dill oil production is carefully controlled to assure consistent quality and to make certain your exacting requirements are always met.

In 1995, recognizing the ongoing need for product improvements and broadening market share, SunWest formed the "Dill Weed Dream Team". Dr. Paul Palniktar and Dr. Donald D. Roberts provide professional consulting services to SunWest in the areas of plant science, product development and market development. Their extensive experience in the pickle and essential oils industry has contributed greatly to the success of SunWest Ingredients.

In addition to growing and processing Natural Dillweed Oil, SunWest Ingredients product line also includes a range of flavor emulsions for pickle packers and Citrada Oil. As a division of JSH Farms, we also have access to Peppermint Oil, Native Spearmint Oil, and Scotch Spearmint Oil.
